Loska's Ride # 35
Bukit Cermin @ Putra Heights on Thaipusam holiday

0718hrs ~ Received an sms from Che Ahmad "Tak payah tunggu. Tak jadi join. Malas. Nak tidur."
The tentative time to meet at Mamak Jennah in Putra Heights was 8:30am.  However, everyone that committed to join ~ Wak, Seken, MatYen, Faizal ad of course yours trully ~ arrived a bit later... Don from the Putra Heights group - whom will be our guide (yet again... thanks bro!) - has already finished his breakfast when we got there.  Ejau called while we were ordering our drinks and such to say that he couldn't make it as his bike (minor repair on the BB as Seken informed me) was being tuned.  No probs Che Ahmad & Ejau... next time lah!

At the table, evryone had something to eat - except me and Donwhom only had teh tarik.  Faizal?  Where's Faizal?  I was on the camera... Faizal.... ohhh... memerut.... :)

The entrance to Bulit Cermin has apparently become a dumpsite.  Irresponsible people!  The only consolation I guess these rubbish are not that smelly.    Seken & Matyen smiled at the camera not knowing what lies ahead.  This is their maiden trip here!

Wak, having been on this trail more often than any of us began the ascend pushing his ride.  The rest cycled... not far though... hehehe.
Halfway through... errr.. not really halfway.. prolly a quarter of the total climb, most of us gave in to the torturous slope...  But all were still smiles... laughing of Wak's constant morale booster "sikit jer lagi... pas tuh flat ground larr..."

.... a try at artistics shot... artistics?  hehehehe....
Two more stops later, everyone (four of us at least) finally arrived at the hilltop near the kuila.  Don & Wak were first to arrive.  Don I think pedalled all the way up... and prolly had consumed a power boosted at Jennah earlier... hahahaha...

Don explaining the tricks in his ability to pedal all the way up... hehehehe...

From that peak area, it was the terrace donhill just behind the kuil.  Everyone got down fine.  Then, came a split whereby four of us, me, Faizal, Seken & Matyen wanted to do the longer trail whilst Don & Wak wanted to exploire new downhill route.  It would the first time for me as onmy previous trip here, the group had taken the shrter downhill trail.  Faizal has done the long route before sp he was ride leader designate on this occassion.

The trail seemed like it has been awhile since anybody rode through it.  Even Faizal was confused at times of the trail... shrubs and overgrowth hurdled a smooth ride.   Faizal and me were hiplashed by overhanging branches and sustaines cut on our neck and arm respectively.  But... one thing has always been for certain with us... posing for a good picture despite all the hardships!

another try at artistics shot.... hehehehehe...

Finally we met up again with Don and Wak... although we were one terrace lower than them.  Apparently, they were still pioneering a route down the terrace....

While we sat it out.... catching much needed breath for the next downhill stretch...

.... Don & Wak were charting new routes down the terrace...

When they got down.... camera time again!

While were were getting ready to continue, three riders came from the opposite directions... apparently doing a reverse loop.  After a bit of explanation and encouragement, the three decided to return and re-do the normal loop....

We continued on the last leg of this ride.. the downhill stretch.   As we arrived at the bottom, everying was a bit wary and too tired to try the jumping ramp.   So, after a good survey of the area (on possibilities of making a better ramp - by Wak of course), we headed back....

Faizal's Dawg sporting a new Relic!

All in all, Seken & Matyen gave this trail a good rating.  So that means it won't be their last trip here.  Me, I'll go anywhere the crowd takes me....hehehehe.... after all, riding is about comlay, right?
Till our next meet, ride on guys!
