Not ReallyRide laa....

Its been a while... and FRIM's entry fee has actually inflated

 

It all started with Chemat's sms  on 18th Feb  : -  "Salam. tak de plan nak ride ke wkend ni?" .....  "Jom FRIM naik Bukit Salem.  Day ride... 2 org pun jadi la.  Bawak makanan sekali."

Long story short... 2 org pun jadi laaaaa.....  

 

Memula.. nak rakam maaf bebanyak kepada ride partner saya (Chemat lah tu).... terlewat banyak pagi Sabtu tuh... janji kol 8.30am dah terpacak dekat parking to'kong.  Namun, becoz terpaksa hantar anak form 2 pergi sekolah  (ko-korikulum), tak sempat nak kejar masa... p/s: ma'am plak ke sekolah kerana program camping....

Chemat nmpk sedikit kurang ceria... dah lama menunggu kot... hehehehe.... Jam 9:00am lebey sket baru kami boley gerak.  Not only I arrived late, masa set-up basikal, jari termasuk dlm pusingan tayar... hasilnya quite a bad injury... (smp arini masih belum kering itu luka.. makan isi daaa...)

Back to the ride.  Chemat really wanted to do the Salem High Country thingy... better known as Bukit Steroid.  So, as planned, we took the short cut... reverse loop so to speak.  Avoiding the rover trail and especially the Dream trail.... for obvious reasons...what?... obvious?....yeahhh... yeahh.... simpan energy untuk Bukit Steroid...  

Jumpa nih near the chalet area.... hmmmm... street sales!

So, we headed straight to Bukit Hari Track (turning left at the Masjid's junction)... rode non stop until we arrived at the foothill of the Bukit Steroid.  Errr.. actually made a long stop here.... borak2 pasal R1 and such... :-)

makanya... tengok jam.. errr.. tak tengok actually, cuma agak2... dah pun kol saploh lebey.. so, cut short story telling, we proceeded to kaki bukit Steroid.  Nengok situ ada dua group dok lepak... satu kiri (atas bukit & supposedly ending of Bkt Steroid) dan satu lagi bawah nun... simpang naik Bkt Steroid & laluan ke Sg Buloh.  Kami dok contemplating tak sure nak ikut jalan mana.... sembang ngan group atas bukit tuh... dan dierang saran ikut laluan biasa... landai dan tak berapa mencanak katanya.  Namun, Chemat dah made up his mind... we do the reverse loop... har har har har.... against all odds!

So, kami said thanks to those people and started to ride uphill... tetiba..mamat nih laju jer turun dari Steroid tuh....

Laaa... rupanya Ejau yg datang dgn grup dari Putra Heights dah pun pusing dua kali Bukit Steroid.... kami stop lagi...sembang kejaps... sambil tuh Ejau lambai-lambai geng dier yg dok lepak nun bawah kaki bukit.. katanya nak satu round lagi temankan kami...

Chemat and I went ahead while Ejau... donno lar... maybe he went over to join his geng.  Halfway up... we were exhausted.  Made few stops and did a lot of bike-pushing.  Pastuh, Ejau pun sampai ngan beskal HT dier.. Commencal tuh... rege ngalahkan AM1000 saya....

I actually had a chance to sample Ejau's new Commencal... wahlauweiii... light as feather!  Rode that baby few clicks.... not realizing that behind me Ejau was pushing my bike as she had a deflated rear tire (Ejau was afraid that his massive weight would puncture the tire... thus he pushed it) and, Chemat was also pushing his heavy X6....  I stopped to wait for both of them.... and Ejau decided to turn around - he wasn't comfortable leaving his geng waiting at the foothill.

Chemat and I pushed on... stopping only to take this view of the High Country... hmmm... nice...

Rasanya, this is the best capture of the day... using camera timer... with the newfound landmark... ohhh... Salem High Country...

The rest of the ride, return leg of this ride was really a warm-down exercise.  We traced back the Bukit Hari track.. then made an exit to the downhill nearby Taman Botanical (I think).. then found our way through Trail 501.... then its tarmac all the way to the Masjid's junction and exit FRIM.

We finished the day at the usual warung... minum teh ais kaw kaw... Met Azmir & geng (faizal's ofismate) there... and one of  the  guys paid for our drinks.  They went off... we stayed back... order some nasi campur.. makan.... kenyang... hehehehe... then balik larrr....
