27th October 2008, Deepavali Day

Woohoooo.. !!!!!

 

I guess that should summarize the new trail we found....

 

There's a bit of everything... long and gradual climb, technical single track, challenging downhill,.. err.. except maybe less of an XC trail..  Granted.. as the area loops within a relatively small area.  Faizal remarked ~ "this trail reminds of 2K track at Kiara.." on one of the may track found at this challenge park.  PokLeh exclaimed ~"at least yang buat trail ni ada sekolah punya orang..".. hmmmm...

 

The short story... Friday evening I threw the question in our mailing thread "anyone for a ride on Monday at the new trail in Putrajaya?"  Of course at the time only PokLeh and Se2nd were checking their mails as they were wrking night shift.  Both gave a "ON' reply... Thus I sms'd others and received favorable response !!!

 

Monday morning, I arrived at the RV place (Masjid Putra) 5 minutes before 8:00am, our agreed rv time.  No one around.. and I need to ease myself...  moments after I did my thing,  Chelan's sms arrived on my handphone "mana orang ni?"

 

Faizal, Chelan & meself didn't have to wait long before PokLeh arrive... but... since there were four of us "tiga ON, empat OFF"... hehehehe.... some fifteen minutes later, our new rider, Ridzuan, arrived.  So, five.. ON!   Quickly we headed towards Presint 20, and after a long-winded guide via-phone by our own UdinSonangWang.. we figured ourselves to the MTB Trail of PCP "parking" area..

 

First route, no pics as I thought we were going to do two rounds.  But, altough the total distance covered not that far/long, the energy-drain level were huge!

A crossroad.... go down or go up?  Two riders decided to "call it a day" while the other three pushed downwards...

Faizal "seriously" making a serious decision - to recce the downhill trail despite two riders calling it a dat...

 

 

Real exciting switchbacks on the downwards trail.. but alas, not yet completed.... halfway thoriugh, we had to push back from where we came from...

 

 

 

Not a joke!  Whomever developed this trail, our ten gun salute to you dude!  We saw a mini excavator plus this compactor at site... a testament that some serious shit is being done on this MTB trail...

 

 

And we found this most thrilling downhill ride with lots of mini-walls!  Again.. salute trail-makers dudes!!!
